No shocking result in a game when Ducks beat Guangsha Lions in Beijing 113-106 on Tuesday. Ducks forced 20 Guangsha Lions turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Israeli-American forward TJ Leaf (208-1997, college: UCLA) notched a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Shuo Fang (189-1990) supported him with 27 points and 10 assists. Ducks' coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) by the former international center Jinqiu Hu (211-1997) did not help to save the game for Guangsha Lions. The former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) added 19 points and 8 assists for the guests. Four Ducks and five Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Ducks will meet Blue Whales in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Guangsha Lions will play against Pioneers in Tianjin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
