The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tachikawa as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Fukui B.) loss. Tachikawa smashed bottom-ranked Shanan Utd at home 111-91. Tachikawa made 31-of-38 charity shots (81.6 percent) during the game, while Shanan Utd only scored eight points from the stripe. Tachikawa players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Shanan Utd was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Shanan Utd at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with six games lost. Shanan Utd will play next round against Okayama trying to get back on the winning streak. Tachikawa will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Saitama at home.
