Regular Season Round 5: Kawasaki BT - Toyama G. 87-70

There was no surprise in Kanagawa where bottom-ranked Toyama G. (0-5) was defeated by second ranked Kawasaki BT (4-1) 87-70 on Friday. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Thomas Wimbush (201-1993, college: Fairmont St., agency: Slash Sports) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (207-1985, college: Nevada) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (207-1991) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kawasaki BT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Alvark Tokyo. Loser Toyama G. still closes the standings with five games lost.
