Regular Season Round 2: Niigata R. - Fujitsu RW 55-76

Very expected game when Niigata R. was smashed by Fujitsu RW in Tokyo 76-55. Fujitsu RW outrebounded Niigata R. 59-36 including a 30-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nigerian center Joshuana von Novon (190-1999) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Uchio Akina (177-1997) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Five Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Point guard Akira Kitagawa (165-2001) responded with 15 points and point guard Natsuho Sugiyama (170-2000) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fujitsu RW will play against Aishin AW in Anjo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niigata R. will play on the road against Toyota A. in Nagoya to get more than just one victory in their record.
