There was a minor upset in Tokyo where Koshigaya A. was defeated by Aomori W. 81-77 on Sunday. Aomori W. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Koshigaya A. turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward EJ Montgomery (208-1999, college: Kentucky) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and center Isaac Butts (208-1989, college: App State) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Aomori W. and five Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Aomori W. will meet Fukushima on the road in the next round.
