Regular Season Round 1: Veertien Mie - Tachikawa 83-92

But Veertien Mie was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Tachikawa 92-83 on Saturday night. Tachikawa dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Veertien Mie's 34. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-1990, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Yoshiki Ametani (190-1999) chipped in 15 points. At the losing side American forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Justin Pierce (201-1998, college: UNC, agency: Inception Sports) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Four Veertien Mie players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tachikawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Veertien Mie will play again against Tachikawa and hope to win that game.
