VBA top team - Heat (14-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Wings (6-12) in Saigon 98-91. Heat players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and international power forward Phu Vinh Nguyen (203-1998) supported him with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) did not help to save the game for Wings. American guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls St.) added 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Heat and four Wings players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-4 record. Wings lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Catfish.
