Regular Season Round 28: Warriors - Saigon Heat 82-68

The most important game in the last round took place in Hanoi between second ranked Heat (12-4) and fourth ranked Warriors (10-7) on Sunday night. Heat was defeated by Warriors on the road 68-82. Warriors outrebounded Heat 53-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Sameen Swint (193-1995, college: GBC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Warriors players scored in double figures. Warriors' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with 40 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Heat. Warriors maintains fourth position with 10-7 record. Defending champion Heat keeps the second place with four games lost. Warriors are looking forward to face Catfish (#5) in Can Tho in the next round. Heat will play at home against Dragons and is hoping to win this game.
