Regular Season Round 23: Dragons - Buffaloes 83-115

VBA top team - Buffaloes (12-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Dragons (0-14) in Danang 115-83. Buffaloes dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Dragons' 42. They outrebounded Dragons 59-28 including a 27-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American Anthony January (204-1993, college: CSUSB, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. American-Nigerian forward Udun Osakue (198-1992, college: SF State, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American point guard Jermaine Marrow (183-1997, college: Hampton) came up with 21 points and 4 assists and guard Kiet Nguyen Anh (180-2002) added 15 points respectively for Dragons in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buffaloes maintains first place with 12-3 record. Dragons at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Buffaloes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragons will play on the road against Catfish (#6) in Can Tho and hope to get finally their first victory.
