Regular Season Round 22: Dolphins - Saigon Heat 99-95

Second defeat of league's leader Heat (10-2) against fourth ranked Dolphins (8-6) 99-95 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Heat. Dolphins forced 19 Heat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. Center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Sampson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. Swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Heat. Dolphins maintains fourth position with 8-6 record. Defending champion Heat dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Buffaloes. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
