Regular Season Round 9: Pythons - Kings 105-52

Bottom-ranked Kings (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 105-52 loss to sixth ranked Pythons (5-4) in on Sunday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 20. Pythons forced 23 Kings turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pythons made 7 blocks. Singapore point guard Zhong Han Wong (183-1997) stepped up and scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American guard Brian Garrett (193, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Garrett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Pythons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Justin Nixon (196, college: Capital) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Panurat Chutsiriyingyong (192) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pythons moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Devil Rays. Kings at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with nine games lost.
