Regular Season Round 14: Saigon Heat - Dolphins 94-90

Very significant was Heat's (#1, 8-1) victory against 3rd ranked Dolphins (6-3) 94-90. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dolphins. Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Madarious Gibbs (185-1993, college: Texas Southern) produced 24 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) added 22 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-1 record. Loser Dolphins keep the third place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
