There was no surprise in Surabaya where 15th ranked Pacific Caesar (4-22) was crushed by sixth ranked Rans Pik (15-9) 90-71 on Monday. Rans Pik looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Jamaican-American Akeem Scott (180-1983, college: High Point) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American Akeem Ellis (196-1990, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. British center Morakinyo Williams (209-1988, college: Citadel) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and American power forward Chris Barnes (205-1988, college: Georgia) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rans Pik maintains sixth place with 15-9 record. Loser Pacific Caesar keeps the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Satya Wacana. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
