Al Rayyan shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard TJ Starks (188-1998, college: CSUN) who led the winners and scored 39 points (!!!) and 4 assists. Senegalese power forward Mouhammad Faye (207-1985, college: SMU) accounted for 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. Al Rayyan's coach Stergios Koufos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Brian Halums (196-1997, college: UAFS) came up with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian center Djordje Gagic (210-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) added 8 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists respectively for Qatar Club in the defeat.
