Regular Season Round 36: WBS - Satya Wacana 68-77

Bottom-ranked Satya Wacana managed to get a third victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against ninth-ranked WBS in Jakarta 77-68. They outrebounded WBS 50-36 including 35 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Shemar Johnson (204-1996, college: Stillman) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and forward Randy Prasetya (202-1997) who added 7 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was guard Rio Disi (185-1992) with 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and the former international Mei Joni (188-1989) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Satya Wacana (3-17) moved-up to fifteenth place. WBS at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Satya Wacana will play against higher ranked NSH (#13) in Jakarta in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. WBS will play on the road against Rans Pik (#6) in Gor Merpati and hopes to get back on the winning track.
