Regular Season Round 36: Pacific Caesar - Bima Perkasa 76-101
Date: May 24, 2023
Very expected game when 16th ranked Pacific Caesar (2-18) was smashed by fourth ranked Bima Perkasa (14-7) in Surabaya 101-76 on Wednesday. Bima Perkasa dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Pacific Caesar's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American Cameron Coleman (198-1992, college: York, NE, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import center Fuquan Niles (211-1995, college: CWU, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Bima Perkasa players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by British center Morakinyo Williams (209-1988, college: Citadel) did not help to save the game for Pacific Caesar. Guard Muhammad Ariezky (185-1997) added 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bima Perkasa have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Bima Perkasa went down to fifth position due to points difference. Pacific Caesar lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Bima Perkasa will meet league's second-placed Prawira in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pacific Caesar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Surabaya Dewa United.
