An exciting game was when Second ranked Taiyuan Textile faced 4th ranked Taipower. Taiyuan Textile (15-5) defeated Taipower (2-18) 87-78. Taiyuan Textile looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Tieh Lin (182-1999) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Ching Cho (172-1997) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Taiyuan Textile players scored in double figures. The former international Yi-Wen Zhang (173-1996) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and forward Chin-Wan Hsieh (178-2001) added 15 points respectively for Taiyuan Textile. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile maintains second position with 15-5 record having just two points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Taiyuan Textile are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
