Rather expected game in Astana where 6th ranked Tigers-KazATU (14-18) was crushed by third ranked Almaty L. (27-5) 98-58 on Monday. Almaty L. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers-KazATU's 34. Almaty L. forced 21 Tigers-KazATU turnovers and outrebounded them 55-33 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Almaty L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Tigers-KazATU's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Almaty L. made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Daniel Albrant (205-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds.
