An interesting game for Chunghwa Telecom (5-10) which played against 4th placed Taipower (2-13). Third ranked Chunghwa Telecom had an easy win 65-50. Chunghwa Telecom held Taipower to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Chunghwa Telecom had a 37-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Taipower was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Shi-Zan Xu helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Zi-Yu Yang (180-1995) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chunghwa Telecom maintains third place with 5-10 record having seven points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Chunghwa Telecom will play against league's second-placed Taiyuan Textile in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and hopes to get back on the winning track.
