An exciting game was when Second ranked Bank of Taiwan faced 3rd placed Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan (13-8) defeated Taiwan Beer (9-12) 90-83. Bank of Taiwan players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a good game for American Max Mahoney (203-1998, college: Boston U.) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 16-of-20 shooting from the field). Guard Chia-He Chang (188-1996) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Bank of Taiwan's coach Guo-wei Chen used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American Tavarion Nix (201-1992, college: Midwestern St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against bottom-ranked Changhua (#4) on the road in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's leader Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
