Date: April 4, 2023
Third-ranked Pilots (15-16) made lots of trouble for second ranked Fubon Braves (20-12) in Taoyuan on Tuesday. Fubon Braves managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-1988, college: BYU-Hawaii) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves have a solid four-game winning streak. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Pilots will play against Dreamers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
