Regular Season Round 28: Kings - Lioneers 73-98

Top ranked Kings (23-8) recorded its eighth loss against fifth ranked Lioneers on Sunday night. Lioneers were rolled over by fifth ranked Lioneers (12-18) 98-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kings. Lioneers forced 19 Kings turnovers and outrebounded them 60-47 including a 44-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-1991, college: Louisville) fired a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Lioneers players scored in double figures. American swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Quincy Davis (203-1983, college: Tulane) added 13 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lioneers maintains fifth position with 12-18 record. Kings at the other side still keep top place with eight games lost. Lioneers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in Kaohsiung in the next round. Kings will play on the road against Pilots (#3) in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
