Regular Season Round 19: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 69-87

An interesting game for Yulon Luxgen (11-8) which played against 3rd placed Taiwan Beer (9-10). Second ranked Yulon Luxgen had an easy win 87-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Yulon Luxgen dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Taiwan Beer's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-1986, college: UAB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Min-Hao Ke (180-1992) helped adding 11 points and 11 assists. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Tavarion Nix (201-1992, college: Midwestern St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds and Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) scored 6 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen maintains second place with 11-8 record behind leader Bank of Taiwan. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Yulon Luxgen will play against league's leader Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against Changhua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
