Very expected game when 7th ranked Kyoto H. (17-29) was defeated on the road by third ranked Hiroshima D. (34-12) 92-76 on Saturday. Hiroshima D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hiroshima D. players scored in double figures. Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Yoshiaki Kubota (175-1997) scored 18 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hiroshima D.. They maintain third place with 34-12 record having just four point less than leader Shimane SM. Kyoto H. lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 29 games lost. Hiroshima D. will again meet at home Kyoto H. (#7) in the next round. Kyoto H. will have a break next round.
