Regular Season Round 40: KoGas - Seoul Thunders 57-78

Bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders managed to get a fourteenth victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Monday night. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked KoGas in Inchon 78-57. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference proves that Seoul Thunders was well-prepared to that game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Dong-Hyuk Shin (191-2000) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Seung-Min Shin (195-1998) responded with 24 points and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Seoul Thunders maintains tenth position with 14-39 record. KoGas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 35 games lost. Seoul Thunders will meet higher ranked Suwon KT (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KoGas will play against KCC Egis in Jeonju and hope to secure a win.
