Regular Season Round 47: Shizuoka - Shinagawa 95-69

The game between third ranked Shizuoka (39-9) and 16th ranked Shinagawa (7-41) in Shizuoka on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Shizuoka outscored guests from Shinagawa 95-69. Shizuoka made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Shizuoka outrebounded Shinagawa 47-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Shinagawa's players. It was a quality performance for Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American center Kenny Lawson (207-1988, college: Creighton) accounted for 11 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Shinagawa in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shizuoka maintains third place with 39-9 record having just two points less than leader Iwate. Shinagawa lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 41 lost games. Shizuoka will meet at home Okayama (#7) in the next round. Shinagawa will play against the league's leader Iwate (#1) and hope to secure a win.
