Regular Season Round 40: KCC Egis - Suwon KT 89-88

The most exciting game of round 40 in the KBL took place in Jeonju. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Suwon KT (20-32) to seventh ranked KCC Egis (23-29) 89-88 on Sunday evening. KCC Egis made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. The former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. The former international center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Seong-Woo Jeong (178-1993) produced 28 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KCC Egis moved-up to sixth place. Suwon KT lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 32 games lost. KCC Egis are looking forward to face KoGas (#9) in Inchon in the next round. Suwon KT will play at home against Seoul Thunders and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
