Regular Season Round 45: Shimane SM - Kyoto H. 87-75

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Kyoto H. (17-27) lost on the road to first ranked Shimane SM (37-7) 87-75 on Saturday. Shimane SM looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and the former international guard Seiya Ando (184-1992) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists. Five Shimane SM players scored in double figures. American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-1993, college: Iowa) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Kyoto H. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Shimane SM. They maintain first place with 37-7 record. Kyoto H. lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with 27 games lost. They share it with Sea Horses M.. Shimane SM will again meet at home Kyoto H. (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kyoto H. will have a break next round.
