Regular Season Round 39: Seoul Thunders - Goyang 66-88

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Goyang (25-25) outscored on the road bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (13-39) 88-66 on Saturday. Goyang made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. The former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Four Goyang players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Anthony Morse (206-1994, college: Tenn Tech, agency: SLN) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Dong-Hyuk Shin (191-2000) added 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Goyang maintains fifth place with 25-25 record. Seoul Thunders lost their sixth game in a row. They stay dead last with 39 lost games. Goyang will meet at home higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Seoul Thunders will play against KoGas (#9) in Inchon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
