Everything went according to plan in Sichuan where sixth ranked Sharks (22-15) edged 17th ranked Blue Whales (10-26) 112-109 on Monday. Sharks made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Blue Whales turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Melo Trimble (190-1995, college: Maryland, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the other American import point guard Eric Bledsoe (185-1989, college: Kentucky) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Jordan Crawford (193-1988, college: Xavier) responded with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Tangwen Yuan (184-2000) scored 12 points and 8 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sharks have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Blue Whales keep the seventeenth position with 26 games lost. Sharks will meet Monkey Kings (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blue Whales will play against Long-Lions (#11) and hope to secure a win.
