Regular Season Round 45: Tachikawa - Okayama 67-80

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Okayama (26-20) defeated on the road 15th ranked Tachikawa (12-34) 80-67. Tachikawa was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-1987, college: Ohio) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-1985, college: FAU) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Okayama players scored in double figures. Swingman Kota Akiyama (188-1996) came up with 16 points and point guard Jota Machii (182-1999) added 15 points respectively for Tachikawa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okayama maintains seventh place with 26-20 record. Tachikawa lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 34 games lost. They share it with Yamaguchi. Okayama will play against higher ranked Kagoshima (#4) in Renova in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tachikawa will play on the road against the league's leader Iwate (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
