Regular Season Round 38: LG Sakers - Wonju DB 59-65

The most important game in the last round took place in Changwon between second ranked LG Sakers (33-17) and eighth ranked Wonju DB (20-27) on Sunday night. LG Sakers were defeated by Wonju DB in a tough game at home 59-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of LG Sakers. American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import DeJon Davis (201-1998, college: CBU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) added 12 points in the effort for LG Sakers. LG Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Wonju DB have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. LG Sakers at the other side keep the second position with 17 games lost. Wonju DB are looking forward to face KoGas (#9) in Inchon in the next round. LG Sakers will play on the road against Suwon KT (#8) in Busan and are hoping to win this game.
