The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: Qatar Club (#4) and Al Rayyan (#5). Al Rayyan was defeated at home 73-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Qatar Club had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists. Serbian Dejan Janjic (198-1995) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 18 rebounds, 18 assists and 4 steals. American guard Brian Halums (196-1997, college: UAFS) contributed with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals for the winners. American guard Malik Curry (185-1999, college: WVU, agency: Green Sports Management) answered with 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Senegalese power forward Mouhammad Faye (207-1985, college: SMU) added 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in the effort for Al Rayyan. Qatar Club (3-1) moved-up to third place. Al Rayyan at the other side keeps the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Al Ahli and Al Arabi.
