Regular Season Round 44: Shinagawa - Veertien Mie 103-94
Date: March 17, 2023
Bottom-ranked Shinagawa managed to get the fourth consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Veertien Mie 103-94. Shinagawa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) supported him with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Four Shinagawa players scored in double figures. Even 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Tucker Haymond (198-1994, college: W.Michigan) did not help to save the game for Veertien Mie. His fellow American import forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) added 28 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the guests. Veertien Mie's coach Masao Kuda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shinagawa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixteenth position with 7-39 record. Veertien Mie lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 30 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
