Very expected game in Manila where 10th ranked Rain or Shine (2-8) was defeated by second ranked SM Beermen (9-2) 129-116 on Friday. SM Beermen looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Naturalized Tongan center Moala Tautuaa (200-1989, college: Chadron St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds.
