An exciting game was when First ranked Taiyuan Textile faced 3rd ranked Chunghwa Telecom. Taiyuan Textile (7-1) smashed Chunghwa Telecom (2-6) 75-54. They outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 50-39 including 37 on the defensive glass. The former international center Tieh Lin (182-1999) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Ying-Chieh Wu (179-1992) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Yushu Lin (168-1996) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and the former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Chunghwa Telecom. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiyuan Textile have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Chunghwa Telecom at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Taiyuan Textile will play against league's second-placed Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chunghwa Telecom will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
