An exciting game was when Second ranked Cathay Life faced 4th ranked Taipower. Cathay Life (6-2) defeated Taipower (1-7) 81-65. Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Yi-Xiu Zheng (178-1993) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Ya-En Han (180-1995) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Cathay Life players scored in double figures. The former international Yi-Wen Zhang (173-1996) produced 27 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for Cathay Life. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 6-2 record behind leader Taiyuan T. Taipower lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Cathay Life are looking forward to face league's leader Taiyuan Textile in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
