Regular Season Round 25: Kings - Fubon Braves 95-106

Top ranked Kings (20-6) recorded its sixth loss against third ranked Fubon Braves on Sunday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by third ranked Fubon Braves (16-11) 106-95. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kings. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. 27 personal fouls committed by Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) chipped in 28 points and 9 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-British center Byron Mullens (213-1989, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and the former international center Chin-Min Yang (190-1984) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Fubon Braves and five Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves moved-up to second place. Kings at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. Fubon Braves are looking forward to face Lioneers (#5) in Hsinchu in the next round. Kings' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Taipei to the arena Fubon Braves.
