Regular Season Round 14: Taiwan Beer - Changhua 64-82

Very important is a loss of third ranked Taiwan Beer (6-8) against fourth ranked Changhua (5-9) on Sunday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by Changhua 82-64. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Changhua outrebounded Taiwan Beer 41-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. American forward Julian Boyd (203-1990, college: LIU Brooklyn) notched a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Yi-Lun Chen (172-1998) supported him with 10 points and 6 assists. Even 7 points and 7 rebounds by Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) did not help to save the game for Taiwan Beer. The former international center Chao-Hao Chen (199-1992) added 12 points for Changhua. Taiwan Beer's coach Chun-San Chou rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Changhua maintains fourth position with 5-9 record. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. Changhua will play against league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's leader Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
