Regular Season Round 42: Yamaguchi - Toyoda 89-95

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Toyoda (18-25) won against on the road 14th ranked Yamaguchi (12-31) 95-89 on Saturday. Toyoda looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was German center Yasin Kolo (208-1992, college: Bellarmine) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Toyoda players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-British center Ryan Richards (212-1991) who recorded 30 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyoda maintains eighth position with 18-25 record. Loser Yamaguchi keeps the fourteenth place with 31 games lost. They share the position with Tachikawa. Toyoda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again against Toyoda (#8) and hope to secure a win.
