Regular Season Round 3: Al Khor - Al Arabi 73-81

Al Arabi can celebrate their first win this season after two consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Al Khor, where they defeated Al Khor (0-2) 81-73. Al Arabi shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 43 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kelechi Ajukwa (201-1995, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-1988) contributed with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. American power forward Tony Criswell (205-1991, college: Missouri) replied with a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists and his fellow American import point guard Ameer Jackson (193-1994, college: WSSU) added 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) in the effort for Al Khor. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Al Arabi (1-2) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Al Ahli. Al Khor at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Al Arabi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Al Sadd.
