Date: March 10, 2023
Not a big story in a game in Yingkou where 5th ranked Heroes (21-14) were rolled over by third ranked Flying Leopards (25-7) 99-77 on Friday. Flying Leopards forced 22 Heroes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Flying Leopards made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Jiwei Zhao (184-1995) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American power forward Eric Moreland (208-1991, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Shiyan Gao (186-1996) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Ben McLemore (196-1993, college: Kansas) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
