An exciting game was when Third ranked Aquas faced 4th placed TB Herobears. Aquas (12-10) defeated TB Herobears (9-12) 109-97. Aquas forced 20 TB Herobears turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. TB Herobears were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Four Aquas players scored in double figures. Aquas' coach Brendan Joyce let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) answered with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international point guard Yu-An Chiang (174-1991) added 8 points and 10 assists in the effort for TB Herobears. Defending champion maintains third place with 12-10 record having two points less than leader N.Taipei CTBC. TB Herobears at the other side keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Aquas will play against Suns (#5) in Taichung in the next round. TB Herobears will have a break next round.
