Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Heroes (20-13) and Jilin Tigers (16-15), which took place in Changchun. Higher ranked Heroes lost to eleventh ranked Jilin Tigers in a road game 92-101 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Heroes. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 11 assists. Yuxing Jiang (193-1995) accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-1988, college: NM State) came up with 28 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Shiyan Gao (186-1996) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Heroes in the defeat. Heroes' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Jilin Tigers maintains eleventh place with 16-15 record, which they share with Nanjing TX MK. Loser Heroes keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. Jilin Tigers will meet at home higher ranked Sharks (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Heroes will play against Flying Leopards and will have a slim chance for a victory.
