Regular Season Round 22: Toyota BSR - Fujitsu RW 60-66

There was a small surprise in Aichi where sixth ranked Fujitsu RW (14-8) beat one of their biggest challengers Toyota BSR (14-8) 66-60. The former international point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) notched 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and swingman Uchio Akina (177-1997) supported her with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by international Nanako Todo (175-2000) did not help to save the game for Toyota BSR. The former international center Miyuki Kawamura (185-1994) added 9 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fujitsu RW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Toyota BSR. Fujitsu RW will play against league's leader Toyota A. in Nagoya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toyota BSR will play on the road against Aranmare A. (#9) in Akita and hopes to get back on the winning track.
