Regular Season Round 40: Saitama - Yokohama EX 93-86

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Saitama (33-8) defeated at home 5th ranked Yokohama EX (31-10) 93-86 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Fumiya Sato (170-1990) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and Nigerian-American power forward Maxie Esho (206-1991, college: UMass) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Tatsuhiko Toshino (185-1988) scored 16 points. Four Yokohama EX players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama maintains third position with 33-8 record having just three points less than leader Iwate. Yokohama EX at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Saitama will again meet at home Yokohama EX (#5) in the next round. Yokohama EX will have a break next round.
