Regular Season Round 42: Ehime OV - Tokyo Z 91-72

There was no surprise in Matsuyama where 7th ranked Tokyo Z (11-34) was crushed by fourth ranked Ehime OV (21-24) 91-72 on Friday. Ehime OV looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Ehime OV players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Reginald Buckner (206-1991, college: Ole Miss) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tokyo Z's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ehime OV maintains fourth position with 21-24 record. Tokyo Z lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 34 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
