Regular Season Round 20: Yamanashi QB - Himeji E. 69-72

There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Yamanashi QB (4-16) was edged at home by thirteenth ranked Himeji E. (3-17) 72-69 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Minami Shirasaki (166-1996) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Asami Sunaga (178-1999) who added 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Ayana Nakayama (169-1997) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Aika Watanabe (177-1995) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Yamanashi QB's coach Kanji Kaneko tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Himeji E. maintains thirteenth position with 3-17 record. Loser Yamanashi QB keeps the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Himeji E. will meet at home higher ranked Haneda V. (#12) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Yamanashi QB will play against Niigata R. in Tokyo and hope to secure a win.
