We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Anjo where 9th ranked Aranmare A. (8-12) was rolled over by tenth ranked Aishin AW (7-13) 84-61 on Sunday. Aishin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Aranmare A.'s 22. They outrebounded Aranmare A. 46-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of June Mineharu (171-1999) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and guard Misa Uchimaga (168-1996) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Yuka Takahashi (174-1999) responded with 17 points and guard Asuka Hiramatsu (162-1994) scored 6 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin AW maintains tenth position with 7-13 record. Newly promoted Aranmare A. keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Aishin AW will meet at home higher ranked Eneos S. (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aranmare A. will play against Chanson V-M and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
