WJBL top team - Toyota A. (18-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Toyota BSR (12-7) in Aichi 63-57. They outrebounded Toyota BSR 52-37 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toyota A. brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. It was a quality performance for the former international center Stephanie Mawuli (182-1998) who led the winners and scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Senegalese center Sokhna Sylla (200-1997) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. International Nanako Todo (175-2000) came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Miyuki Kawamura (185-1994) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Toyota BSR in the defeat. Toyota BSR's coach Takehiko Chibana rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota A. have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row.
